Just a forewarning, a large number of the sets mentioned on the list will be 2025 MLB baseball sets because these sets will likely contain a large number of some of the best rookie cards in MLB history. At this moment, this rookie class looks better than the 1995 Rodriguez, Jones and Rivera rookie class and could possibly be close to the 1951 Mantle and Mays rookie class. This class already has at the very least four all-stars making the 2026 MLB All-Stars team in Rice, Wood, Baldwin and Kurtz. The scary part about this rookie class is actually its depth. For example, Dalton Rushing, Cam Smith, Daylen Lile, Cam Smith, Colson Montgomery, Agustin Ramirez, Matt Shaw, Max Muncy (Athletics), Cade Horton, Jasson Dominguez (technically speaking he is still considered a rookie in 2025 even though Topps may not be putting the rookie label on his 2025 cards), Dylan Crews, Roki Sasaki and quite a few high potential pitchers all appear to be likely sure fire future all-stars making at least all-star game in MLB. Yes, this is Ohtani’s era, however, there are still near 50, often more, all-star spots to fill each season and on average every year at least a few players get elected to the hall of fame. Due to how deep 2025 rookie card year is, I recommend buying various versions of Topps Update Series instead of Series 1 and Series 2 to get possible full exposure to all MLB baseball cards for that year. As a bonus contents, I will say I have been accumulating a large number of bulk rookie card 5,000 count card boxes from the 2025 MLB baseball rookie year rapidly in the last few months for on average less than $100 USD per box. If you collect basketball cards, think of this year as the baseball equivalent of a 1986 rookie cards from Fleer or if you like football think of it as the 1983 draft year in the NFL. Don’t just look for the regular chase cards in this years, the 2025 Topps Update Series could possibly include rare, true miscut cards where part of the card include a portion of another card. I see these as bonuses that make the non-Chrome Update Series very interesting.

Personally, I have been accumulating Ben Rice and Nick Kurtz rookie cards for months. I been actively looking for these in dollar boxes regardless of condition, which are typically in decent condition given they are newer cards. Surprisingly, I am still able to find large lots of these probably for reasons that I describe below. I anticipate a targeted price of $50 for the average base Ben Rice rookie card and $40 for the average base Nick Kurtz rookie card in approximately five years. It typically requires a player seven years to show signs of GOATesque symptoms proven with upward trajectory in record pacing levels and postseason success. The bottom line is, only GOATesque and plus players will receive perennial public exposure in the long-term after the hype hence their cards are likely the only ones that will see post-inflation adjustment gains after they retire. Both players’ cards will have higher ROI multipliers due to their marketability.
I believe Ben Rice will be a cultural icon in popular culture as an Ivy leaguer super athlete role model, a career long Mr. Yankees folks hero who will get 400 plus home runs, 2,000 plus hits and a few championships. I think Nick Kurtz will eventually make it to a major market team where he will be a superstar. The issue here is his fan base will likely mostly be from a team that is not the team name on the jerseys of his rookie cards which might diminish the ROI multiplier a bit. The baseball rookie cards in the 2025 baseball card packs are probably one of the best in the last few decades. We are talking about at least five highly probable future hall of famers in Ben Rice, Nick Kurtz, James Woods, Drake Baldwin and Cade Horton. Daylen Lile and Dalton Rushing also have decent chances of being future hall of famers. I can also identify probably another five players with their rookie baseball cards in 2025 that also have the potential to be hall of famers. This class is top heavy and extensive deep. Some of these players mentioned above are already at record pacing levels. The best part of all this is while all the people are diverting their attention to basketball cards, soccer stickers and modern Pokemon cards, baseball cards are lagging behind its true market value for these cards. Even so, I’m baseball cards, people focus more on the Ohtanis, Judges and other players who are already superstars.”

2025 Topps MLB baseball Update Series Retail Blaster Box – MLB baseball rookie cards and rookies are a bit different from the definition of other sports due to its rookie status rules. 2025 will likely go down in MLB baseball cards history as one of the best rookie card years. 2025 – 2026 NBA basketball Topps Match Attax Power Pack – This box is exclusive only to certain East Asian so-called world’s number two economy. They are a collaboration between Topps and a certain company within the said country mentioned above. While I don’t think there are going to many, if any at all all-time-greats in the 2025 NBA draft rookie class, I do find the boxes to be quite good deals around $15 to $20 USD per box with a lot of potentially good inserts and massively available probably due to extremely degraded purchasing power of the so-called world’s second largest economy mentioned above when their people struggle to find jobs or make any resemblance of a living wage by Western standards after experiencing a gradual decline in their domestic economy. The good thing about this set is these cards are almost exclusively in English and are unique just to that market alone as Topps didn’t even make that set for regions outside of that country. If this set was issued for the US market, I have strong reasons to believe these would be probably at least four times the initial retail issuing price (which was likely significantly cheaper than current online prices) in the said second largest economy.
