I’m frequently right because the world is frequently wrong. In some societies contrarians are treated by their governments as criminals and TPC is the mastermind. Everyone except for a small percentage of people will prosper for externality. Even if you wanted to win, the math won’t work out in your favor. Some people think being a contrarian is an act of playing the devil’s advocate. It’s flat out not. Statistically there can never be a large number of contrarians for obvious reasons. Being TPC is like becoming the White Panther or the Black Unicorn, even if it’s technically possible, the optics won’t allow it to happen in this sequence of events within the current paradigms of being. For example, how do I get my picks right on so many verifiable events in the future? Those aren’t picks. They are social observations Socrates harbored throughout his life that you didn’t know he did because he never heralded about it in writings and only found out through the conveyance of his associates. The last 50 years humans experienced more significant technological advances than its entire existence prior to that period of time. Sure, one day AI, humanoid robots, space exploration, time travel and teleportation will just be a fact of life no difference than turning on the lights right now.
TPC will always find a way to survive and strive throughout the ages and beyond. Being TPC is not a choice, it’s a way of life no different than the evolutions in human history or Pokemon evolve unless you are Pikachu which I believe is the first organism to resist genetic changes in human history, however funny that is. It surely makes why Pikachu cards should command a significant premium a lot more plausible as long as one can keep a straight face while spoiling other alternative facts of a similar vein at least a dozen times at card shows and conventions or online listings. Statistically your dumb children won’t amount to much within the next five decades due to the Baby Boomers and young Sheldons with decent EQ squatting on all the opportunities. Their chance of success doesn’t lie in competing with the East Asians, they will likely succeed not being bamboo ceiling’d, involution, or destroy themselves through self-defeating competition to the bottom due to resource constraints that their ancestors freed them from through colonialism/imperialism, generational wealth, transition into democratic values and rule of law when it served their interests better, education and more. Their life’s outcome is more related to Aafrling than Wafrling where they need to get the best education possible within the do almost nothing scheme while enjoying life and leaving everything else to the workplace training. This means schools like CSULA and UCR will invariably become more in demand due to the arbitrage opportunities. The student body is probably no different than many of the other highly ranked “socially mobile” schools but the difference is its location and system glorifies them into metropolitans of their people. Yes, it’s like winning the WNBA championship or the NIT, the difference is it’s that team in New York team that won it which comes across completely differently in almost every single type of medium and channel.

What is it like being The Permanent Contrarian and why is TPC frequently right.
Ironically the NIT use to be the NCAA tournament is now and the Democrats use to be the Republicans just over a century ago. Isn’t the NCAA more representative in its namesake of what the tournament was about than the NIT and aren’t Democrats and Republicans literally switched perspectives to literally live up to their names? A worthless vintage Babe Ruth card due to being in extremely rough condition is still valuable because it’s a vintage Babe Ruth card. As facetious as it sounds, giving a lemon the name Harvard might devalue the Harvard brand but it sure makes the lemon more marketable. UC and CSU systems will have to defend and help their weakest members, something they have more skin in the game than you have in terms of making your kids’ education more valuable than your kids probably actually deserves. When you tie the whole system to work for your personal benefits, that’s called a bank but you don’t have to own one to bank on it. As for predicting Knicks to win it all, no one seems to understand that you can quantify the non-quantifiable. You just have to try harder. People and organizations have known the importance of chemistry between people for a long time but chose to treat pheromone like the same kind of pseudo-science that the same type of experts states the Yonaguni Monument are natural formations.
UCSC historically is known to be superior than UCR in every way excepts for perhaps its name and its mascot. Look at what happened to that’s school’s rankings and prestige throughout the years. Probably the similar things regarding the naming game can be said about USC and many of the CSUs that all end up living up to the name they chose for themselves in a surreal self-fulfilled prophecy. Kanye once said “Reach for the stars, so if you fall, you land on a cloud.”I guess nothing is more nebulous than naming your school after a vague, hard to point place that exists without a specific identity or in some school’s cases, being too proud of being ghetto that even its residents want nothing to do with the name when money is involved. Like that, CSULA is a national university with a respectable ranking and Villanova becoming a junior Ivy League. What most people don’t realize is, the land CSULA sits on alone could be worth billions, more than the endowments of many top ranked universities. As for Villanova, it will likely climb to the heights of its ambitions within a few decades. You don’t expand into two campuses, have the Pope endorse an award you just created, intently becoming a research university, literally have walking advertisements for your school, raise potentially billions and not wanting to be an Ivy level school.
