I think some of the more important life lessons that many people never learn are don’t incur more liabilities than potential assets, don’t let sentiments dictate your life, learn as much as possible to build around your core competency and a job working for others is a dead-end that only serves as a means to an end. From a collecting standpoint, I think relatively illiquid collectible products may be cool novelties even cool gifts, but I don’t think they make financial sense as a significant investment as you are likely not fully invested in the hobby and because the market is likely less liquid than collectibles with higher liquidity, most other people probably aren’t treating those collectibles as a mainstream of alternative asset investment either.
